A garden is a wonderful metaphor for life. Come visit my garden where you may find occasional bugs, droughts, and floods, but there is also planting, nourishing, nurturing, and growth. I hope you find, as I have, some of the most beautiful creations blooming here.

Camping in the Heart O' The Hills

This was a totally packed campground with teensy weensy campsites.  We were so close to our neighbors we could have spit on them. (But we didn't.)
We lucked out and found a site that backed up to forest.  One side neighbored a few sites that had been closed due to hazardous trees.  So, while everyone else was enjoying the view of their neighbors, we got mostly a view of the forest!
The kids explored the fallen trees and woods behind us.  It was a gorgeous place that conjured up images of fairies, elves, and ewoks!

This was such an awesome place that the kids played HAPPILY together the ENTIRE time!

I think we'll have to go exploring the Olympic National Forest more often!

Our little Ewok
JDawg said the moss on this rock was an inch thick.
Evidence of the presence of fairies.
Can you guess what this is?
I love camping and I love summer (and I love fire)!

Wow. Beautiful (and some very nicely composed photography going on there). I have always wanted to explore the Olympic Peninsula, and now I think I'll have to make a spot for it in our schedule next year!
