A garden is a wonderful metaphor for life. Come visit my garden where you may find occasional bugs, droughts, and floods, but there is also planting, nourishing, nurturing, and growth. I hope you find, as I have, some of the most beautiful creations blooming here.

A Room With A View

We couldn't have had a better location for a view than our condo.
We just won't mention the rust damage pretty much everywhere, including but not limited to the DVD player, the ceilings and light fixtures.  The washing machine didn't clean our clothes, and we found a flea and a couple of cockroaches.

And we won't mention our red light district bed.
Okay, we will mention the bed.  I wanted to share its awesomeness with all of you and for my posterity.
It is hard to see but the headboard's design is wicker hearts.
We were probably forty feet from the ocean and we enjoyed listening to it crash against the rocks below.  I have to admit though, a couple of nights I woke up feeling a need to run to higher ground.  This may or may not have been attributable to a serious fear of water.  I was reminded of my recurring water dreams that, to me, represent my feelings of anxiety and overwhelmedness (I just made up a word).  Those dreams present a vast ocean with rapidly elevating tides and angry waves that threaten to swallow me whole.  Seriously scary.  The reminders of those dreams were most profound at night when the swells picked up and the crashing waves sounded more desperate to leap beyond their bounds.

But look at that view!

But was there a mirror above your bed? Brad had one of those during a TDY in San Diego.
